I mean what about the areas with no corpses and stuff? What about the second last mission? And assault on the stronghold?

Sabway necros are amazing for most of the missions. I used an Imbagon (There's Nothing to Fear + Save Yourselves) to get my book quickly, but it is definitely possible with any character. Assault on the Stronghold was pretty tricky because the Armored Saurus dies pretty quickly to the HM archers. It barely has a chance to damage the gate (also tough since you can't control the other seige devourer that your allies are protecting). I ended up beating it by casting bonds and stuff on the Armored Saurus so it can plow through while taking hits. Afterwards, it's just a tough fight, but standard hard mode techniques work fine.

If you need to, make use of consumables. Some areas are near impossible once you get DP. But it's definitely worth gettign the HM book at least once, since you get reputation for completing the HM mission for the first time and you get the big payoff at the end.

Sab's necro's are fine for most of the missions except elusive golemancer.

I have filled my fair share of nm and hm handbooks, an i usually roll with myself as a w/p dragon slasher, sabs 3 necros, 2 monk hench, herta and devona. I some areas i change the necros for 2 eles + a monk, but rarely. In HM just be sure to pull some groups carefully, and be aware not all things will go your way.

Good luck

I used these Sab-esque builds taylored for the fact that their run with a Warrior and for the encounter.

Against the Charr, Warband of Brothers, Curse of the Nornbear, A Gate Too Far
Human: OQkSEZKTLOni7gGW8VxgmYXF - standard Godmode warrior. I bring Whirlwind instead of steelfang because I'm a sucker for seeing splinter go off at once
N/Rt: OAhjYghsoOYbvJGzxJNHmjzqKA - channeler with some resto to back up the hench monks
N/X: OABDQmtHP5B7gloMs7qqdCBA - Curses
N/Me: OAVCUsxkuzpjC4XQVVVAagAA - Minion Bomber
Lina, Mhenlo, Cynn & Zho

Assault on the Stronghold:
Human: OQMT80ISZax5UcH0wivKG8qIeAA
Henches and heroes as per above Against the Charr

A Gate Too Far, Destruction's Depths, GOLEM
As Per Against the Charr, except bring Herta instead of Cynn because of their resistance to fire... if you like her wards, you could bring Herta in the others too, but the AI Scatter from sandstorm annoys me.

Blood Washes Blood
Human: OQASEZKTGlDWbFwOzkdFGWzi - Ursan so that you don't have to visit the north shrine
Henches and Heroes as per Against the Charr

Oola's Laboratory, Finding the Bloodstone
Rt/X: OACjEmiMZSHXeTYMLTDTTOdijTA - A channeler to replace the N/Rt
E/Me: OgVDgcmcShDLgcD6QIDwCOB6OA - Blind/Cracked armour to replace Minion bomber.

A time for heroes:
Human: OQITEZKbHyuoVUucqppYzIG8qAA - Use Warriors endurance to power pain inverter.
Mo/R: OwIT003C1Rjc32Ib67a9Y6vZAA WoH Hybrid
Rt/R: OAJCQsxkKUjohgZQnAXQbwmB Orders/lifestealing (Needs microing)
W/R: OQISEZJPSFoSRppYYvKbGBA Single target damage (micro iway)
The pets are there to die and fuel iway if you can't already tell... to be honest, it takes 1-3 minutes to get the pets killed and 1 minute to kill the great destroyer, so I'm not sure its worth the effort, but it does get the job done. Bring Talon, Zho, Mhenlo and Lina

All in all it should take you 2.5-3.5 hours to do a book this way depending on whether you rush or take your time.

Okay, I just removed pointless posts (in addition to unneeded bitterness) so please don't fill this thread with bickering.

Im not 100% sure if you can still do it but, when you start assault on the stronghold stay as far right as possible and just run toward the gate, you will make the rez shrine inside the gate usable and when the seekers kill you, you will just spawn inside.

Anet has fixed that particular exploit, unfortunately.

Thanks snipious. Anyways, yeah I used that once but only to try it out lol

On the other side of things though, I've finished Great Destroyer HM, also finished Curse of the Nornbear HM. Although GOLEM HM is super easy with a second person, how should I split my team up? 4-4? or go ass one team?

3 heroes can easily handle the left side, whilst you and the henchies take the right. Try to fight on the bridge/log rather than by the stairs, because if the destroyers get too close to the golems Gadd will move in to cast Iron Mist on them and make them annoyingly immune to all damage except lightning.

I just wanted to try this. I haven't done much hero handbook HM. Went through today and did all but 3 with the 3 necro team and various henchmen. Stormed through most of the missions with no problems. killing that disc in (DD) was actually easier in HM with h/h than it was in normal with a party full of real players. Time for heros was really easy this way as the heros, henchies, and minions all rush the great destroyer (as opposed to humans trying to stay out of range) with you making pain inverter work like a charm.

Guide
This was useful, learn the shortest ways and tactics for each separate Q.

Monk (me) Hybrid / Ursan at R6 and on...
Zhed SF (alternate Zhed when there are destroyers with N/Rt healer)
MM Sab's bomber (he's really slow, either wait for him, flag him...)
Pyre (Splinter Barrage, when bosses Disc of Chaos and other BHA)

(hench)
Earth
Healer
Protection
Ranger

(Summary from above link)
For G.O.L.E.M. don't do split! Take the left way not to trigger Q, clear all Destroyers and flag your H/H at the narrow point of the hill slope and run to trigger Q. When you're flagging H/H make sure you spread them 1--party--2---3 flags.
After Golems warmup pull two bosses.

Assault on the Stronghold: the only pain for me (after the fix/nerf).
Great Destroyer: was easy for me being Monk (did solo).
Finding the Bloodstone: flag H/H and run to the cave!
Blood Washes Blood: no need for the shrine, take the lower path straight to the gates (you nned 1 Ursan for breaking doors).
Destruction's Depths: Set Golems to "Defense".
Against the Charr: forget Optional and take south path to the bosses.
